Leslie is a writer, director and performer living in Brooklyn. Her writing most recently appeared in The New York Times' Modern Love column. Her focus on non-fiction and memoir earned her a 2017 creative residency at SPACE on Ryder Farm. Her first publication appeared in PASTE Magazine, an op-ed criticizing the current administration's first attempt to repeal of the Affordable Care Act. As a YA cancer survivor and beneficiary of Obamacare, Leslie is passionate about universal, compassionate, affordable health care legislation.

Leslie graduated from Fordham University at Lincoln Center where she double majored in Acting & Directing and graduated with honors. While at Fordham she traveled to Paris with NYU to study Contemporary French Theatre, participated in the apprenticeship program and performed at the Williamstown Theatre Festival, and studied at MXAT in Moscow, Russia.  She was guest lecturer at NYU in 2012 and 2013.

Leslie has performed in numerous plays, readings and short films including Stop the Virgens (St. Anne's Warehouse), The Turn of the Screw (David Rubenstein Atrium-Lincoln Center) and Madame de Sade (Columbia Grad). She has also performed with Target Margin Theater & Clubbed Thumb. Leslie wrote, produced and performed in 23-Year-Old Myth as part of Theater for the New City's Dream-Up Festival. Her short film, “The Astronaut Hour” is in post-production.

Leslie workshopped and directed Scheiss Book by Liba Vaynberg at the United Solo Festival, which won Best One-Woman Show and Backstage's Audience Award. It was reprised at Dixon Place in 2017 and Wild Project in 2019.

Leslie enjoys harmonizing with her dear friend, Allegra Levy and the Brooklyn-based indie band, Noble Kids.
